Giving a title to your painting is not always easy but from experience I know that a good title can sell a painting.  While I am working on a painting I jot down anything that comes to mind because if I don't I may not remember it.  Sometimes I think my titles come from my subconsious mind and I may wake up in the morning and know what I should name the painting.

I have struggled with the title to this painting.  I first named it Exterior Decorator (versus Interior Decorator) but people didn't seem to get

it.  I thought about nest building kinds of titles but nothing significant stuck out.  I  began to think of my own decorating habits and one more thing seems to occur frequently.  That space needs one more thing to complete the look or this bookshelf needs one more thing to make an impact.  So...I think this heron probably saw this lovely entwining branch on her way home from fishing and thought...this would be a perfect 'one more thing' for my nest.

I'll give it a try until I think of something else.

Maybe you've got the perfect title.  If so, I'd love to know your thoughts.
